I found the following snippet in a linux mailing list and it's taken slightly out of context here.
"udev seems to be the need of tomorrow. So, instead of shying away from it, i'd rather recommend you to find out the real problem and fix them."
If you can ignore the "udev" part in the above, the rest of it makes absolute sense in any context. Wonderful words and approach.
Wish we knew so absolutely what are the "needs of tomorrow" for all thing in life :)
