While on blogging and rights ...

I'm getting quite fascinated at the series of events that I'm seeing unfolding in front of me. First, there's this sensational Chennai blogger post, the mixed reaction of readers, others' and my attempts at finding the legal ramifications (which I'm still pursuing for academic interests).

And now, I've been catching up on international content. And there's Jason Kottke's issue with Sony lawyers. Dan Gillmor pointed Britt Blaser's posting, which is definitely an "interesting" read.

Given that there are a lot of individuals becoming "publishers" of their own accord, with much fan (aka reader) following, the necessity to understand whatz legal, whatz not, what to do and what not to do and how to handle lawyers and how to defend yourself if there's a need becomes of paramount importance. It'll be interesting to see what happens in the international arena, not to mention that I'd be elated if something happened on the local (Indian) front too.

The article is certainly interesting. I'll keep watching it to see if it addresses a lot of things that most of us can think of.

Thanks for doing a great job !
